If you have gone through a life event such as a birth, illness, surgery, house fire, loss of life of a loved one, you may have experienced what it means to have other people come alongside you, lend a hand, bring you a meal and show up in some way.
A Meal Train is organized meal giving around significant life events such as birth, death, illness, surgery, house fires….
One of the ways we can show the love of Christ and care for each other is showing up for others when difficult life events occur.
Participating in the meal ministry at Evident Life through the Meal Train is very simple:
- Let us know by emailing mealtrain@evidentlife.org that you would like to provide meals for the Meal Train and you will be added to the list.
- When a request comes in for a Meal Train, everyone on the list is notified of the pertinent details – who, where and when.
- When you see a date that works with your schedule, click on it and type your name in to claim it.
- On your day, prepare/pick-up your meal and deliver at the specified time and place.
- Reap the blessing of giving and encouraging someone.
- If cooking is not your thing, you can always bring a store bought meal, restaurant take-out or gift cards for restaurants.
This ministry has been a huge blessing to many and is a great way to get connected and build community at Evident Life Church.
