JESUS IS TO COME (1 Peter 4:5, 2 Peter 3:11-13, Revelation 21:1-7)

Pastor Eric Jones, December 27, 2015
Part of the THE ETERNAL JESUS series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

WHO IS THE JESUS WHO IS TO COME?
Scripture clearly tells su that HE is the Lord of lords, the king of kings (Rev. 19:16), and the judge of the living and the dead (1 Ptr 4:5).
But for those who know Jesus and are known by Him, He is the stunning, dashing GROOM who will sweep His bride off her feet and carry her across the threshold to her glorious eternal home – the new heaven and the new earth – where everything has been made new. (Revelation 21)
HOW SHOULD WE RESPOND? (2 Peter 3:11-12)
(1) living HOLY lives (set apart for God), (2) being filled with HOPE (looking forward with great expectation to Jesus’ return), and (3) HASTENING the return of Jesus
